As if it's not enough that I'm already in paroxysms of ecstasy over the current Christian Louboutin exhibition at the Design Museum, now I've got to contain myself at the news that the iconic shoe designer is launching a full range of make-up sometime late next year.


Aptly named Christian Louboutin Beauté, it will, of course, be a luxury line and you can bet the first items to sell out will be the red lippies and red nail varnish.  Those world-famous red soles are just begging to made into matching lipstick and nail varnish, and when a girl is feeling the pinch and can't quite afford a new pair of the red soled beauties, a quick little pick-me-up at the make-up counter is just the thing to lift the spirits and keep you going till pay day.


The range is being developed in conjunction with American company Batallure Beauty and without giving too much way, Mr Louboutin said "Beauty products...have to do with empowering women."  The range will be "very constructed, quite different and unexpected".


After Adele was spotted a the Grammys wearing the Louboutin Manicure (the underneath of her nails was painted bight red), the make-up range was a sure-fire given - it was just a matter of time, no? 


I can't wait to see what they come up with, but whatever it is, you know that with the Louboutin stamp of design, it's sure to be a winner.
