I can't believe I've taken so long to write about this fabulous face cream, but it's been a busy old time, and as they say, better late than never!
When this was sent to me for review, the timing could not have been better. My skin, which normally is problem free, was going through a terrible patch, so I was really ready to try something new.
From the moment I flipped the lid open, the gorgeous fragrance of the lavender and the soft smell of the manuka honey enveloped me. The cream is very rich, so you only need very little, and for some of you, it may be too rich to be a day cream, but perfect for a night cream.
For me, I've been using it as a day cream, and my skin has never felt more healthy. It feels deeply moisturised, but not greasy. I don't feel it's too heavy or mask-like, although there I have seen some reviews along those lines. Whether I'm meant to or not, I've been known to wear it on the skin around my eyes, and haven't seen any undue puffiness or anything else untoward, but in reality, I couldn't really recommend you use anything other than a proper eye cream.
Yesterday, I felt my tired old skin really needed a bit of a boost, so I put an extra thick layer on and left it on for twenty minutes, a sort of ultra-moisturising face mask, if you will. When I washed it off, my skin felt soft and smooth, plumper and hydrated and looked a little more radiant than it has done of late.
And today, wearing it under a matte mineral foundation from Bare Minerals, I found my skin looked dewy the whole day through, without make-up slipping off my face.
It's perfect for the cold winter weather if you feel your skin needs extra help, and with the central heating on, I know mine definitely does. I'll be taking it with me to moisturise on long-haul flights to let the pure plant emollients such as Rosehip Oil (signature oil for Trilogy products), and the Avocado and Evening Primrose Oils (so that my skin gets it's share of Omega 3 & 6) all feed my skin while I fly!
Love the product, (£22 for 75ml), love the brand ethos and will try some other products from the range.

This looks interesting because my skin is dry at the moment thanks to the central heating and cold weather. I must look into this here in the states.
ReplyDeleteI've not tried anything from trilogy but keep reading good things about them. I have however started to use a slightly richer cream at night time and can see a difference in my skin too x
ReplyDelete@Olivia - I'm addicted to it now and can't wait to put it on in the mornings!
ReplyDelete@Nicoletta - this was the first thing I tried from Trilogy too, and I'm really tempted to try a couple of other products too. Which cream are you using at night?
ReplyDeleteI use Gold Eye Serum at night and I normally apply it 30 mins to 1 hour before sleeping. Since I love to massage the applied area.
