Beauty Sale Picks: The First Cut

So the left over turkey is still lurking ominously in the fridge, but the sales are well underway. If you can't fact the hordes on the streets, here are my beauty sale top picks, all just a click away.

So my favourite one just has to be SpaceNK. Star of the show has to be the Kevyn Aucoin The Candlelight Kit, (Limited Edition), containing a five-pan Eyeshadow Ealette, Candlelight Veil, Black Liquide Eyeliner, White Eyeliner and a votive candle all for a very tidy £48 (down from £96). A very close second would be the By Terry Terrybly Or Rose Blusher, down from £72 to a very affordable £36. Lipstick addicts will be pleased to see Lipstick Queen trios reduced from £40 to £20, (my fave would be the Hall of Fame), while the Laura Mercier Votive Candle Sampler, containing four minis in Ambre Vanille, Creme Brule, Fresh Fig and Tarte au Citron, the perfect introduction to her addictive candle, is half price at £21. Travel sets are always a good way to try out a brand while not spending a fortune, and when they're on sale, you'd be a fool not to! So the Elemental Herbology Travel Essentials Kit with it's mini shampoo, conditioner, body wash and skin drink body hydrator (that's body lotion to you and me) at only £12 (from £24) is not to be missed.

It's a close call who gets more of my money - SpaceNK or Cult Beauty; between them, they have just about every brand I drool over. The best deal on Cult Beauty at the moment couldn't be more apt given the belly-bloating gorging that just keeps on hampering any attempts at keeping trim and slim. Not so much for me, but for Mr H, the Slendertone Abs for Men is reduced from £149 to a ludicrous £59.60 - for that price, I'll put it on my own midriff! Other not-to-be-missed include the Astalift Summer Defence Collection, down from £65 to £32.50 (might as well be prepared!), Borghese Cura Forte Moisture for some post-partying serious skin TLC, half price at £25. There are a couple of unmissable hair bits you'd be a fool to pass up on. Every girls needs a padddle brush, and the Kotibe Paddle Hairbrush, reduced from £22 to £8.80 is great for detangling, massaging the scalp and a smoother than smooth blow-dry. And while we're on the subject of blow-dry, don't miss the Alter Ego Hair Dryer, down from £85 to a purse-friendly £42.50. I've had one of these for a while, and I'm here to tell you, it really does live up to the hype.

There's only one thing I'm coveting at the moment from Liberty's beauty sale, and that would be the Eve Lom Daily Collection Gift Set, down from £65 to £48.50. With minis of the iconic cleanser, the lighter morning cleanser, and two of my faves, the Rescue Mask and Kiss Mix lip balm, this is the perfect gift for yourself or a BFF. I'd also be snapping up the Miller Harris candle in Figue Amere and some Aromatherapy Associates Little Bell Bath and Shower Oil but they've already sold out!

There's nothing like a little high end retail therapy and if you're going to indulge, Selfridges is the place to flex that credit card! If you've always wanted to treat yourself to a some really top notch skincare, there are some reductions on Sisley and Sensai, but be warned, we're still talking hundreds, not tens, of pounds. More mature skins will be pleased with the Estee Lauder Re-Nutrive Ultimate Lift Age-Correcting Collection, reduced from £204 to £136.50, containing the Cleanser, Serum, Eye Cream and the Age-Correcting Creme. There's over £40 off the ever-so-cute Laura Mercier Les Peritis Bonbons eye palette, down to £94.50 for 30 little domes of beautifullness, but only a disappointing £10 off my favourite Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask, down to £83, and and even more disappointing £8.50 off one of my favourite perfumes, Sisley Soir de Lune Eau de Parfum, (now £70),but hey, any saving's better than nothing! But don't dismay - there is sooooo much more worth your pennies just waiting for you in the hallowed halls. Shu Uemura Takashi Murakami Collection eye and cheek palette in Pink Metamophasis contains all you need for a Spring face for £40 (down from £60). The reductions on Guerlain are amazing - definitely worth a click and a scroll through - but my picks of the bunch would be the Crazy Paris Collection Terracotta comapct powder, the Metetorites Perles Light Diffusing Primer, now half price at £21 and of course the famous Terracotta Moisturising Bronzing Powder and Kabuki Brush Set, now only £17!. LancĂ´me's got some good reductions going on too, best of all, the Definicils Mascara Set, containing a Mascara, mini black eyeliner and mini Bi-Facil eye makeup remover, all for a rather fabulous £14.50.

A website I've found myself ordering from of a regular basis, Salon Skincare has some great deals going on right now too. My favourite hair mask, Philip Kinglsey's Elasticizer in a whopping 1 litre is down from £183 to £55.50 (that's a saving of £127.50!) Thre are some great deals on Darphin too, and I've got my eye on the Alpha-H Anti-Ageing Collection, containing a mini Balancing Cleanser, Liquid Gold, Essential Hydration Cream, Liquid Gold Smoothing & Perfecting Mask and Micro Cleanse, all for £24.95 (instead of £47.13)

Don't even get me started on the best in the clothing  & shoes sales (maybe I'll come back to that soon), but in the meantime, a few of these surely deserve some of your Christmas present money?

Happy Shopping!
