The Saviour: Illamasqua Skin Base Lift

If you've ever ventured into the blog before, you'll know I'm a tad obsessed with all things eyes. Eye creams, eye make up removers and under eye concealers, to be precise. So when I find a gem that performs on point, you can imagine how excited I get (hint: a little dance in the bedroom when no one is watching).

 

While I've yet to purchase my perfect Illamasqua Skin Base  (see, I’m sticking to my #SeptemberSpendingBan),  I've recently become the proud owner of Illamasqua's Skin Base Lift in the shade Deep1. Quite honestly, it's the best concealer I've ever used. 

I could just end this right here, because that's really the most appropriate description of it, but that probably wouldn't be fair to you. So here goes:

It's just as amazing applied with fingers or brush; it blends beautifully, but not so much that you lose coverage. And on the subject of coverage... Perfection. Heavy enough to cover dark circles (insomnia, anyone?) but light enough that you can't see you're wearing any concealer. It literally melds into your skin, to look like your own skin but better.  It's made such a difference to my face that I can't quite recognise myself, and I mean that in a good way.
