The Lust-Have: Serge Lutens Lipsticks

Why oh why do I have such expensive tastes? Quite apart from the fact that it's murder on the bank account (hence my consequent self imposed spending ban for the month of September!).... really, I should just stay away. But of course, I can't. Be it shoes or lipsticks (let's not even count the number of red soled fripperies on the "shoe wall", I just can't resist. Especially when the quality blows me away. There's just no going back.

Case in point. Serge Lutens* lipsticks. Coming in at an eye-watering £53 each, (say what!) these are not something you'd call an impulse buy. And they're not the biggest of lippies either; we're talking about the size of my pinkie. So what makes these worth the recommendation to you?

Well, let's see. Could it be the intense pigment, so that almost just waving the lipstick at your face imparts more than enough colour? Could it be that it lasts and lasts.... and lasts? Just one application saw me through to 4pm, and that's including through breakfast, lunch and copious hot drinks. One more application was all I needed to get through to the end of the day, lips looking perfect till the end. Or could it be the fact that not once did my lips feel dry or dehydrated; in fact, these are some of the most comfortable lipsticks to have ever graced my pout. 

I've been sporting shades 02 and 10, but I NEED more! It seems my penchant for luxury is going nowhere fast. This September spending ban can't be over fast enough!
