I love lipsticks with a passion. What else can give you that instant colour hit, wake up your face and make you look groomed with just a simple swipe?
I first tried L'Oreal's range when they launched the Made For Me Naturals range with a lipstick made for Aishwariya Rai - I mean, who doesn't want to look like her? Then L'Oreal launched the Made For Me Pinks, and I really really wanted the one made for Eva Longoria to suit me - wouldn't mind looking like her either!
The recent Color Riche new colours piqued my interest again, so here they are in all their glory.
I'm loving all the Intense colours, and can see myself wearing each and every one of these as the summer months beckon.
I just knew, as soon as I opened the Coral lipstick, that this would be my favourite, and I wasn't wrong. Can't you just imagine wearing this, a big-brimmed hat, sitting on the beach sipping a nice long, cool drink? Day-dreaming about summer holidays already!
Nude shades are always tricky to get right on Asian skin tones, so it came as no surprise that not all these of these five shades would work on my skin tones. And especially no surprise that the one that worked least well was the frosty pink, deemed made for Blondes.
If in doubt, go for a nude shade that has a hint of pink in it, but not too white, as it will result in a chalky look and the lipstick will seem to "float" somewhere above your lips - not a good look!
All the lipsticks are rich, creamy and feel very nourishing, excellent colour pay-off and had great staying power, lasting the whole way through one meeting, coffee and lunch after. Not bad for the price.
Which ones would you wear?

You have no idea how happy this post has made me!
ReplyDeleteI saw these in Westfield a few weeks ago (in Boots) and I was about to swatch them when the snooty SA came over and told me they weren't there as testers, even though it clearly said they were. I was already a bit annoyed because I decided to wear heels and my feet were hurting so I left well alone.
You've swatched the exact ones I wanted so I'll be popping to another branch and picking them up.
I've been wearing Deep Raspberry (375) for the last couple of days and I've had so many compliments! It's a great bright yet wearable summer shade for Indian skin tones. xx
ReplyDeletePS Glad you liked the post - and the lippies!! xx
