Antonia Burrell Natural Glow Cleansing Oil

I've read loads about the Oil Cleansing Method (OCM) on the internet - it's almost got a cult following around the world.  But I love my cleansing balms, my muslins cloths and hot water too much to be persuaded to try it out.

Until now.

When writing an article about the best products to use for cleansing with oil for another website, (which you can read by clicking here), I obviously had to try a few, and now I'm hooked!

You could say I'm now OCD about OCM!

I love that my skin never feels taught or tight after cleansing, that I only have to use one product to take off eye make-up, facial make-up and all that nasty grime and dirt that my poor delicate vulnerable skin is bombarded with all day.

My favourite of them all?  Quite possibly, it's Antonia Burrell's Natural Glow Cleansing Oil.  Cult skincare expert and facialist Antonia Burrell recently launched her eponymous skincare range and it has set the beauty world agog with compliments and accolades.  While her cleansing oil is not one of the cheapest on the market,  it’s been formulated with the needs of problem skin very much in mind, and has been described as “the world’s first 100% pure plant, 100% natural, emulsifying cleansing oil”.

The list of ingredients is impressive, including tea tree, lavender, lemon, castor seed to heal and reduce inflammation, and petitgrain, extracted from the same tree that produces neroli, used as a natural treatment for acne.

This glorious oil removes waterproof mascara, leaves no residue and feels utterly luxurious.  Easy-peasy to use, just apply 2-4 pumps to dry skin, massage and add water, massaging until all the oil has turned to a white milk consistency, and rinse.

Dare you to not repeat the process just to luxuriate in it all over again!
£38.50 for 200ml

  1. I was considering trying this but wasn't sure because my skin was combo, however, I used the DHC cleansing oil and that did things to my skin that no other product has ever done before so I might start looking more into this.

I'm trying to streamline my skincare routine because I use way too much at the moment and this seems like it could answer my prayers.

  2. Was the DHC good or bad for your skin? It gave me little bumps all over my face, so although I loved the feel of it on my skin, I moved onto this one, which I LOVE!!!!

  4. @Anonymous: It's lovely for dry skin. I usually have normal to dry skin, but the sun and chlorine from the recent summer holiday has left me with drier skin than I'm used to, and this feels like I'm feeding my skin while cleansing it. I'm not sure why you hated the Shiseido cleansing oil, but whichever one you use, make sure you rinse it off throughly to avoid skin break-outs.

    Hope this helps.
