You know the score about me and mascaras. It goes a little something like this. If you were to only allow me one item of makeup (and why would you do that to me, why?) then it would be mascara. Hands down. No discussion. No competition.
Why? You may well ask. Where to begin. The blackness (I don't EVER bother with brown mascaras) provides instant definition to the eyes. A frame for the picture within. The curling action opens up the eyes and make me look as if I'm wide-awake (even if I really could do with another three hours sleep). And lengthening and volumising? Obligatory, indispensable and without them, I'd look half baked. I know I'm not alone in my love for mascara. The gorgeous Karen over at LovelyGirlyBits shares the
Latest high-end mascara love? You can see that here, but today's post is all about the newest drugstore mascara that's rocking it.
Max Factor's False Lash Mascara changed the way I viewed drugstore mascaras forever, and the new launch takes this onto the next level! Excess Volume Extreme Impact Mascara plays on the fact that most of us are already cocktailing our mascaras to get the look we want, by serving up a double-ended mascara that adds volume and jet blackness for extra drama. The two different brushes help dispense the mascara in just the right way to give the desired effect, getting right down into each and every lash, big or small - no discrimination here between long or short - each lash is considered equal! The short rubber bristles on the volume brush literally hug the lashes to lay down the mascara, while the pointed brush applies the wetter dark lacquer formula for extra glossy blackness. Think of it as a glossy top coat for your lashes.
It might all sound like a bit of a faff, but believe me, the results are worth it. I'll be posting a selfie #SELFEYE on my Instagram later today, so make sure you check that out here.
All in all, a lash lover's dream, for only £12.99, here.
ps - the Excess Intensity LongWear Eyeliner is a dream to wear too - full review on that coming soon!
