2014 - New Year Resolutions and all that...

So, yes, it's a bit of a cliche, yet it has to be done. It's that time again when we all make well-meaning New Year Resolutions. Now, I'm not going to bore you with all the boring, predictable lose weight / detox / exercise / take off makeup / wear sunscreen / drink more water / wash brushes...let's just take that as given shall we?

This year I'm not making resolutions I know I won't be able to keep. Instead, these little lot are, I think, quite easy to tick off. Print them off, put them up on the fridge door and the challenge is set.

Here's goes!

₸ One In, One Out
With far too many clothes, shoes and boots (not to mention bags, belts and hats), from here on in, it's just got to happen. Either that, or I need to move house!

₸ Give, Give Give!
And to make some space, I'm aiming to do a once a month clear out for charity and sell on ebay. So watch this space if you fancy buying any of my (quite often unused) bits!

₸ Looking ahead
I'm always complaining I don't have enough time. Perhaps if I planned my time better, pontificated less and actually got on with things (instead of spending hours online shopping - Net-a-Porter, I'm looking at YOU!), I'd find extra hours in my day? It's worth a try!

₸ Hair Today, Hair Tomorrow
My main beauty resolution is to take better care of my hair. That includes eating right, weekly hair masks without fail, never blow dry without a heat protection spray, and regular trims, even if I am trying to grow my hair!

₸ The Added Extras
Mr H is a fanatic when it comes to supplements, so I really have no excuse, but I'll admit to being a little lax when it comes to taking all my daily tablets. So I'll be resolving to take them daily, without exception (and I'll be telling you about them here in a future post).

₸ Bits & Pieces
So all the usual suspects: eat breakfast EVERY DAY, stop ignoring the boring things like dentist/optician/doctors appointments and sort out that chronic under-eye skin condition that's been bugging me since April,

If there's just one thing to take away from all this? Love yourself (in a not-vain way, of course) and your fellow (wo)man. Everything else follows from there. And my main "don't"? Don't make a huge list of resolutions you know you won't be able to keep; you'll only set yourself up for failure.

Welcome in, 2014. Let's see what you've in store for us!
