Palettes are having something of a "moment" in my make-up choices of late. As much as it's fun and liberating to conjure up a look with the myriad of makeup in my stash (never it let is be said I don't have enough), sometimes it's just as liberating to let someone else put the colours together for you, to have a sure-fire, works-every-time combo of colours that will just work, no matter how cack-handed you might be. Call it the lazy girl's option if you will. I call it the busy girl's answer to all her prayers.
Daniel Sandler's Eyeshadow Quartets* have been around for while, and for no reason that I can fathom, I've not really had a proper play with them. Until now that is. Now, I'm a little bit hooked. They're sleek, compact, portable and each contains a good mix of four pressed powder eyeshadow colours that work perfectly together, are finely milled, creamy and go on smoothly. Can't ask for more than that.
So here they are, in all their swatched glory!
Beyond Sunset- the most wearable, perfect-for-everyday palette, with the two shades of brown and an easy-to-wear gold to work that bronzed babe look |
Scandal at Midnight- perfect for the ultimate smokey eye, with an intense pigmented black shadow to really amp up the look |
Sheer Beauty- the daintiest of the three palettes, with a gorgeous lilac, but don't be fooled; the deep blue-ish grey can really smoke out that eye! |
They've gone straight into the daily rotation of make-up, so I'm sure I'll be showing you how they work on the eye very soon. If there's one that you'd like to see first, let me know in the comments below.
Are you a palette person? Which are your favourites? And what do you think to these beauties?
xXx
