A short sharp shock is in order to redress the balance, right the wrongs and get me looking and feeling like I know I should. So the gym visits have been reintroduced, and the focus is fairly and squarely on the food. As any PT will tell you, (and mine did, many a time!), if you're trying to lose weight, it's 80% what you eat and 20% the blood and sweat in the gym (or any activity you choose). As much as I know exactly what I should and shouldn't eat, how much of it and at what points of the day, sometimes we all need a little helping hand. I'm sure you know what I mean. Life is extremely busy at the moment, so if there's a way to control the calories for a while without dedicating my whole mindspace to it, then that would be a godsend.
So Saints & Slimmers meal plans have come to the rescue just in time. Today, I'm starting a two week trial of the calorie-controlled delivery-diet plan and I'm really looking forward to it. I won't go into too much detail right now, as I'll be posting regularly about it to keep you updated with the plan. But essentially, after speaking to the Saints & Slimmers nutritionist, and working out how many calories I need a day (1,000 for me if you're wondering), I could then choose my own meal replacements and plan from the Saints & Slimmers website (LINK HERE) for as many days as you need. No need to sign up and sign your life away for ages. It's all completely in your own control. And if you don't fancy a ready-made meal, there are even recipes that you can download and make your own healthy calorie-controlled meal. A great way to feel that you're still human, share meals with the family and keep the cost of the diet down (you pay per item that you order, be it a meal replacement bar, milkshake, cooked meal etc.)
So here goes! Wish me luck, lots of willpower, and some weight loss!!!
