Afternoon tea for a couple friends' birthdays, was, I knew, going to be a more-than-usual dressy affair, but there were a couple of major obstacles in my path.
Obstacle 1:
My awful fall a few weeks ago meant that I haven't been able to wear high heels (shock horror!), and it's still really uncomfortable so it was going to have to be flat shoes.
Obstacle 2:
I'm feeling (and looking) really F.A.T. so really don't feel like dressing up or wearing a cute little outfit.
Bit of a quandary really.
So resorted to my trusty Agnes by J Brand to pull me in, a draped, sequinned T-shirt to hide the sins and finished it off with a cute little leather jacket I bought on a recent trip into Notting Hill.
Cute patent ballerinas with a dramatic velvet bow completed the look:

Thank you :) I've been on a bit of a "flat shoes shopping spree", as I was feeling so sorry for myself. The shoes are super comfortable and I could really live in them!
