GLOSSY BOX!!!

I've heard SO much about Glossy Box, and I've even written about the Middle Eastern version called Glam Box, which you can read about here on Khaleejesque.com where I work as Beauty Editor.

But I've never really tried out the UK's Glossy Box.  Until now, that it is.

The very lovely people at Glossy Box asked me if I'd like to try out the service, and of course I said yes!

I'll be posting separate reviews of each of the products, so here, I just want to show you the incredible value that is the Glossy Box.

Just for those who've been living under a rock for the last year and haven't heard about Glossy Box, the genius idea works like this:

You register on the website and subscribe for the incredible value of £10 per month (plus p+p). And now, you can sign up for a one-off payment of £60 for 6 monthly deliveries or £110 for 12 deliveries).

And that's about all you have to do.  Then you sit back and wait impatiently for your monthly deliveries of the now famous pink box that is packed full of the most divine beauty goodies of brands you always wanted to try but couldn't justify splashing out on at that particular moment.  Resting amongst the girlie crinkly pink paper were products that will have you oooh-ing and aaah-ing.  Cult brands Davines Haircare, Murad Skincare, Eyeko make-up and First Aid Beauty  - brands that you've read about but wouldn't know where to purchase, and brands that you should have heard of but haven't yet.

The January Glossy Box contained the following:

  • Davines Authentic Cleansing Nectar for Hair and Body 90ml
  • Davines Authentic Moisturising Balm for Hair, Face and Body 75ml
  • Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner Line & Define in Powder Pink 0.8g (full size)
  • Murad Skin Perfecting Primer 5ml (can't wait to try this, I'm all about the primer right now!)
  • First Aid Beauty Gentle Body Wash 56.7g  - a brand I've been meaning to try out for a while (full size)
And here come all the glorious photos!

As you can see, I'm rather obsessed with the cute little GLOSSYBOX sweetie that came in the box!

While some of these are sample sizes and some full sizes, even the smaller sizes are by no means stingy.  You get more than enough to really put each product through its paces, and make an properly informed decision on whether you want to try more of the same product or brand. On some, but not all, of the brands, the box also offers special offers and discounts if you DO decide to buy the product after having tried it out.

Brands that have previously got on board include Batiste Dry Shampoo, Ahava, Daniel Sandler, Deborah Lippman, Jurlique, Illamasqua, HD Brows, Kimia, Leighton Denny, Nip+Fab, MeMeMe, Rituals, Rahua, Orly, Stila, Yves Saint Laurent....... and I'm only scratching the surface!

It's a great gift idea too, perfect for your best friend, bridesmaids, sisters, mothers.....

Will you be signing up for the phenomenon that is the Glossy Box?  Could this solve potential Valentine's Day pressie problems.... all you'd have to do is drop a not-so-obvious hint!

    1. Yes, it's just like GlamBag in the US... it's really taken off here in the UK.

I'll definitely review the Skinny Eyeliner before I review anything else, in that case!

    1. Perhaps GlamBag that Stella (above) mentions might ship to Canada? It's worth asking?

Good luck in finding a similar service :)
